Vintage Magni-Flood Gas Station Light on Repurposed Streetlight Standard

One-of-a-Kind Architectural Lighting Sculpture

An impressive and whimsical one-of-a-kind architectural lighting piece created from a vintage Canadian-made Magni-Flood gas station light mounted atop a repurposed cast aluminum streetlight standard.

The oversized porcelain enamel reflector and cast aluminum Magni-Flood housing were originally designed for commercial and service station use, illuminating fuel islands, garages, industrial yards, and roadside businesses throughout the mid-20th century. Retaining its original cast markings that include "Made in Canada," the fixture remains a wonderful example of utilitarian industrial design.

At some point in its life, the Magni-Flood fixture was thoughtfully paired with a decorative streetlight pedestal, creating a striking floor-standing architectural object with tremendous visual presence. The result feels equally at home in a loft, restaurant, brewery, automotive collection, retail environment, or hospitality setting.

Standing over 7½ feet tall, this piece functions as both lighting and sculpture. The original green porcelain enamel shade, weathered painted surfaces, and industrial character make it an exceptional statement piece for those drawn to authentic commercial and industrial artifacts.

The fixture is offered as found and is not currently electrified. Shade is damaged and will not ship. Professional wiring is recommended should the next owner wish to place the lamp into service.

Condition

Good vintage condition with wear consistent with age and use. Areas of paint loss, oxidation, surface wear, and weathering contribute to the lamp's authentic character. The fixture is not currently wired and is being offered as a decorative architectural piece requiring professional electrical installation if desired.

Large-scale industrial lighting is becoming increasingly difficult to find, particularly examples retaining their original porcelain enamel shades.
