Rustic Antique Carpenter's Workbench with Two Vices
Rustic Antique Carpenter's Workbench with Two Vices
A substantial antique carpenter's workbench with two traditional wooden vices, heavy timber construction and a beautifully weathered grey patina developed through years of use.
The thick wooden working surface bears the marks of its past, with original bench-dog holes, scratches, cracks and wear that speak to its history as a working piece. Exposed joinery, dovetailed vice construction and contrasting metal hardware add to its rustic industrial character.
Supported by four substantial timber legs and a stretcher base, the bench has an appealing simplicity and a strong architectural presence.
Equally at home as a kitchen island, studio worktable, retail display or statement piece in a country home, this is a wonderful example of utilitarian furniture finding new purpose.
Dimensions: 78" L x 34" W x 34" H
Condition: Antique, as-found condition with age-related wear, weathering, surface irregularities and evidence of previous use. One vice is missing its crossbar handle.
