Pair of Mid Century Modern Church Chandeliers, Eastern Ontario

A striking pair of mid century chandeliers salvaged from a church in Eastern Ontario, each with a three-arm form and a restrained material palette that feels both architectural and warm. These fixtures combine brass structure, anodized aluminum downlights, and fibreglass uplight shades in a way that speaks to a very specific moment in postwar design, when church interiors embraced modernism without losing atmosphere.

The design is balanced and quietly sculptural. The spun metal lower shades direct light downward, while the fibreglass upper cones were designed to cast a softer ambient glow upward. Hung as a pair, they would be especially strong over a long dining table, in a large kitchen, over a worktable, or in a commercial setting where symmetry matters.

These lights are being offered as found and will require professional rewiring and installation. The current 79" drop could also be shortened during rewiring to better suit the intended space. One upper fibreglass shade has a scorch mark from a previous oversized bulb. Overall, the fixtures present very well and retain a handsome original finish.
