Monumental Ecclesiastical Wrought Iron Gates (141" L × 101" H)
Monumental Ecclesiastical Wrought Iron Gates (141" L × 101" H)
A monumental set of late 19th to early 20th-century ecclesiastical wrought-iron gates, salvaged from a church and beautifully hand-forged in the classic chapel-screen tradition. This impressive architectural ensemble spans 141" L × 101" H × 1.5" Thick, featuring two fixed side panels and two narrow working gates. The composition is built around a rhythm of lyre-inspired scrolls, heart-shaped motifs, twisted uprights, and tight hand-hammered collars — a vocabulary strongly associated with choir screens and chapel dividers from the period.
The gates retain a rich, aged patina with small areas of loss, as shown in the photos — all part of their century-old ecclesiastical journey. Given the scale and craftsmanship, expert repair and installation is recommended. A rare opportunity to bring true architectural soul into a home, studio, hospitality space, or garden pavilion.
