A remarkable pair of oversized 19th-century wrought iron porch brackets, salvaged from the historic Frontenac Club in Kingston, Ontario. Hand-forged with deep scrollwork, layered curves, and impressive architectural presence, these brackets once supported a verandah or canopy at one of Kingston’s storied limestone buildings, originally built in 1845 for the Bank of Montreal and later transformed into a private social club in the 1890s.

Each bracket is a study in craftsmanship: thick forged flat bar, sculptural scrolls, and bold proportions that speak to the Victorian era’s love of ornament and structure. A rare example of Canadian institutional ironwork—substantial, beautifully aged, and ready for creative reuse.

Perfect for use as interior architectural sculpture, canopy supports, garden pergola elements, or statement wall pieces in commercial or residential projects. Designers and restorers take note: pieces of this scale, weight, and provenance are exceptionally scarce.

The lamp is the perfect accoutrement to my Great, Grandfather’s roll top desk. I’m the 4 th generation in my family to labour away on its planks.
