Antique Wrought Iron Floral Architectural Panel c. 1900

A striking piece of antique architectural ironwork featuring scrolling wrought iron, hand-worked leaves and dimensional floral details. Dating to approximately the late 19th or early 20th century, the panel has developed a wonderfully aged, naturally rusted surface that highlights the workmanship and gives the piece its sculptural quality.

The symmetrical design combines long sweeping curves with delicate flowers and foliage. Close inspection reveals the hand-worked character of the iron, including wrapped connections and individually formed decorative elements — details that are increasingly difficult to find in later ornamental ironwork.

Currently mounted within a substantial painted wood panel, the ironwork could be displayed exactly as found or removed and incorporated into a new project. It would make an impressive piece of architectural wall art, an interior decorative screen, a garden feature, or a focal point incorporated into a custom door, gate or architectural installation.

Condition: Offered as found with an aged, rusted surface, oxidation and wear consistent with age and previous use.
