Salvaged from a small-town Ontario post office, this striking pair of early 20th-century commercial interior doors features rare racetrack-shaped glass panels, still intact. At 7 feet tall, these doors were designed to make an impression—once fitted with brass push bars, kick plates to match a functional interior bolt on one door, one can easily imagine the foot traffic they witnessed over the last century.
Crafted in solid wood and measuring 30" W x 84" H x 2.25" thick each, the set has exceptional presence and proportions. Combined width/span of 5 feet and a total weight of just under 170 lbs. The arched oval lights are original and a rare architectural feature, particularly in such well-preserved condition. The doors are structurally sound with surface wear consistent with age and use—offering the perfect balance of patina and integrity for restoration or reuse.
Whether refinished or left as-is to highlight their age and character, these doors would make a statement in residential, retail, or hospitality settings.
