A rare and remarkably preserved early 20th-century industrial dictionary stand, manufactured by Dann's All-Steel in the United States. This mobile, three-legged piece is constructed entirely of steel and retains much of its original japanned finish—a dark, oxidized copper tone that has aged beautifully over time.

Designed with function and form in mind, this stand features adjustable dual book rests and a convenient lower shelf, all supported by elegantly curved tripod legs. A striking example of utilitarian American design from the machine age.

Details:

  • Circa 1910s

  • Original Dann’s All-Steel construction

  • Japanned (oxidized copper) finish, untouched

  • Tripod base with integrated lower book holder

  • Dimensions: 21” W x 21” D x 44” H

A sculptural, functional piece ideal for libraries, studios, or modern rustic interiors. Whether displaying a dictionary, atlas, art book, or sheet music, it offers both heritage and utility in one refined form.
