Oversized glazed mercantile doors from a Brockville, Ontario Landmark building. William & Thomas Gilmour established their grocery business in a newly built stone building in 1870. Records indicate they operated their business until 1956. The doors were removed and repurposed some time after that and were not doubt shortened at that time. Plate glass is not bevelled but imperfections indicate age and an early glass production process. Doors bear the ravages of 150 years of use and reuse, but they have history and would make stunning barn door sliders. Offered as a pair.
